Abide means to continue; to remain or to stay. I like to think of it as “where I live.” We should live in a place of love for God and others.

The Bible tells us that when we love Him that love should extend to others, it is not just words. It is a command that came straight from God. Jesus only did and said what His Father told Him to do and say.

In Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV

[37] Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' [40] On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

In this volatile climate of different opinions, keep in mind that we are commanded to love others. It doesn’t say you will agree with everyone. It just says to love them.

It takes a little skill to be loving in a time such as this. This skill comes from God and His love that abides in you. (Lives in you) Keep this in mind as you make posts. If you are only being hateful, then how will others know that you love God and others?

1 John 4:16 NKJV

[16] And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
