A True Friend

There are friends and then there are true friends.

There are friends who you love no matter what and those you put conditions on.

There are friends who have forgiveness in their heart and those who will hold on to their hurt and try to hurt you.

There are friends that will carry you when you can’t walk alone and those who will walk by and leave you in a heap of trouble.

There are friends that try to understand and there are those who just think a sermon will suffice.

There are friends that will stay closer than a brother and those who leave at the first sign of uncomfortable trouble.

There are friends who you never dreamed would betray your friendship and those who say what friendship?

There are friends that are fun to be around and those that struggle with being social.

Friends come in all shapes and sizes and personalities with different degrees of ability. We need to be building relationships that have a mutual respect and trust.

Don’t have any good friends in your life? Become one and see what happens. Even if they have hurt you in the past. Forgiving each other for past experiences and giving grace is a good place to start a new and meaningful friendship.
