A Simple Life

How do you approach life each day?
Are you constantly in a rush or too laid back? Finding that middle ground is not as difficult as you might think. I suggest when you get the opportunity to watch how a happy carefree child manages their day. There is really no management needed…they just “live it”! No one has to say, “keep your life simple today”.
There is a certain amount of parental guidance that needs to take place …but watching how a little child can be happy just living life is really astounding. We should take a page out of their “handbook”. If they have never been allowed to get caught up in the “social media” trap, what you will see should give you an idea of the simple life. They simply live with abandonment. No fear. Unmatched courage. Unconditional love.
This is why Jesus regards coming to Him like a child of such importance. He says to “accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child”. No need to overthink it. Just accept it. Then, live the “simple life” without worries to weigh you down.
May I suggest…
*Kick your feet up and have that cup of coffee.
*Do your “chores” or “go to work”, but don’t get all weirded out about it.
*Take pride in your work…do as if you are doing it for Jesus
*As you flow through your day, keep it more carefree and not so frantic.
*Ask yourself, “How would ‘little_____’ handle this?”
*Remember we will always be the “pride and joy” of Jesus
*Take life a day at a time
*Try something new without fear of failure
*Make this the best year ever
*Live simply and love deeply.
Luke 18:16-17 MSG
Jesus called them back. "Let these children alone. Don't get between them and me. These children are the kingdom's pride and joy. Mark this: Unless you accept God's kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you'll never get in." #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
