A Shield Around Me

I love the fact that the Lord is with me. He is a shield around me.
When you think about that phrase, it indicates protection from things that come against you. But it takes it a step further when “around me” is added to the mix. His shield of protection doesn’t leave anything uncovered. It is all around us.
Even if there are things we are ashamed of from our past, He still protects and get this…He holds our head up high. Jesus took our shame to the cross and because we believe in that fact, we can be assured of His presence and protection.
No need to be paralyzed by fear and anxiety. Your mighty defender is more than capable of taking care of you.
Just as David called on the One he knew would be there, so should we.
