A Lifetimes Not Too Long, to Live as Friends

If you are reading this, and consider yourself more than a “Facebook Friend”, there was a season in my life when we were closer than we are now. With technology we can change that for sure. My mind flooded with memories today as I began writing this. I have been so blessed in every season of my life, largely in part due to friends.
Some have known me since 3rd grade or younger. Some have been friends since high school, others were college roommates. Some were singing partners, while others were friends from church. Many of you were highlights of my jobs, while others were/are neighbors. Some have made me belly laugh, while others cried with me. Some of you taught my kids, or we met on the ball field. Some of you are parents of my music students, and others were my students (Lordy the time has flown). Some I met through my husband or other relatives. Some are family that have stuck by me through the highs and lows. Some have seen me through some pretty tough times. My love for all of you is forever. Many of you I would consider some of my dearest and best friends…my “lifelong friends”. (Let’s talk more y’all)
You have all helped write my story thus far, and I would dare say that the majority of you love me in spite of my faults.
Let me close with the words to a familiar chorus.
“And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's, the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends” - Michael W Smith
Not letting any of you “go”. You are stuck with me.
Stuck like glue. Haha.
Proverbs 27:9 TPT
[9] Sweet friendships refresh the soul and awaken our hearts with joy, for good friends are like the anointing oil that yields the fragrant incense of God's presence. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
