A Good Reputation

Don’t you just really enjoy being around “good people”? They are usually kind and attentive and patient. When you leave their presence, you will say, “Those are good people!!”
They leave an impression on you because of their demeanor. The same is true when someone is harsh and abrasive, but the impression is NOT good. You tend to avoid being around them at all costs.

My dad has a reputation that still follows him after he left this world. He was so kind to others and mirrored his Heavenly Father’s goodness. He never repaid evil for evil. When the Bible says to “turn the other cheek” …he got it and practiced it.
There were times he endured the hurt of trusted friends and the pain of those trying to ruin his reputation. He could’ve reacted differently, but he chose the high road. He remained kind and remembered “who” he was in Christ Jesus.
I know not everyone has the type of dad that is worthy of your respect. But, you really do, if you have a relationship with your Heavenly Father. He is a “good” Father and has given you instructions in the scripture on how to live a good life…A loving and kind life that draws others to you, instead of one that keeps you from having good relationships.
Proverbs 3:3-4 NLT
[3] Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. [4] Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation. #helpforyourdailywalk #paulaandthebible
