A Future and a Hope

Did you realize that God wants good for you? Too often we sit around depressed over how our lives are currently going. This is not what God has in mind for you.

As I mentioned in previous posts, you are a treasure to God. When you have a treasure, you don’t treat it just “any ole way”. Neither does God. He loves us so much and it saddens Him when we reject His love and care for us. In Matthew He says, “How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.” … You wouldn’t let me. Let that sink in.

God should be a “treasure” to us. One that is handled with love, care and respect. We should want our future with Him more than anything this world has to offer.

Consider these words and live them. “I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold. I'd rather be His than have riches untold. I'd rather have Jesus than houses or land. I'd rather be led by His nail-pierced hand.”

It’s okay (even great) to have those things (and God even wants that for you). In Deuteronomy we can see this … “But thou shalt remember Jehovah thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth”. It is the “placing the things of the world above” the treasure you have in your relationship with God that messes it all up.

Your future and hope is waiting for you to take hold of it. And that future is for good and not for disaster. That right there is a GOOD plan. We’ve got to “let him” gather us up under His wings of care, protection and love.

Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
