What would cause a person to continually punish themselves for their mistakes from their past? Do you suppose there is some “self-hatred” involved in this state of unforgiveness?

When the scripture tells us that good things come out of good hearts. This is not referring to just other people; it refers to you. You have must begin to see yourself as someone that is loved and is lovely. You are “good”, because God is good and has forgiven ALL your sins.

When you have that personal relationship with Jesus, He can help you see that the forgiveness you received is to be carried over into how you see yourself. You should see yourself as forgiven and a new person. That old selfish side was buried with Christ.

If you are saying bad and condemning things about yourself, that is coming from a heart that hasn’t forgiven yourself and still sees yourself as unworthy. When you accepted Jesus…He made you whole. Accept that too.

Luke 6:45 NLT

[45] A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
