Who Needs Money?

We all do! Today’s meme with the quote from Joan Rivers may seem cynical to many of you. I found it to be a humorous way of saying we all need money to survive. It’s true that money can’t “buy happiness”, but it’s also true we can’t survive in this life without it. We have to figure out how to be content while still being aware of ways to keep food on the table and enjoying nice things.

People get all antsy and even annoyed when the subject of money comes up. But think about it, when there is enough money, worries are lightened. You have enough to take care of your needs and the needs of your family and your household. Without money you can’t afford the necessities of living.

It is true that money can’t be your sole purpose in living. You MUST put Jesus first in all you do and say. You should never love money more than Him. But know that there is nothing wrong in having money that places you in a position of being able to take good care of your family and help others along the way.

The Bible views money as “something that can be used for good but warns that the love of money is the root of evil.” It’s not the money that is evil; it is the LOVE of money.
