What's in the Personal Challenge

We have challenges that arise in our lives every day. We face them (out of necessity) and do what needs to be done and then go on with the day. Some are easy and some place a strain on us that has to be dealt with. Again, since there is no choice, we just take care of it.
When it comes to challenging yourself, the choice is yours. It is a matter of knowing your end result from the beginning. You must be patient in the process. You have to realize that sometimes you have to dig deep within yourself to realize that strength you weren’t even aware of. It can seem overwhelming to dig in and get the work done but rewarding when you do.
I read where the depth of finding oil beneath the surface can really vary. (A few hundred feet up to 40,000 feet) I would assume that there is quite a bit of patience needed the deeper the well. But oh my, the benefits when that precious commodity is found.
Challenging yourself to dig deep within the surface of your own heart and mind to complete what you’ve started is so rewarding. Don’t be so concerned with the way others have accomplished it, just do the work.
When I decided last year to read the Bible through (chronologically) it was sort of a challenge to myself to see it through and complete what I started. But, I have to tell you it was by far the most rewarding experience.
I didn’t just do it to say I’d done it. My end result was to actually learn things that maybe I had never thought about before. I wanted to educate myself to better myself. It took discipline and patience to stick to it, but I loved it (even all the “begats” in Chronicles)
What is your personal challenge that you’ve been putting to the side? You will never experience the joy of completion if you never start it.
Hebrews 10:35-36 NLT
[35] So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! [36] Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
