We are tempted at every turn in our lives. How we deal with those temptations is one of the most important skills to have in our toolbox.

An important part of that skill is not allowing yourself to be tripped up and confused by the devil.

Always remember that God is faithful to show you through the scriptures a way of escape from those temptations.

Be aware of the situation and see it as it is. You have to determine where your temptation is coming from and resist it. You can’t be divided in your devotion. If you read a little further down after today’s (vs 21) it says, “You cannot drink the Lord's cup and the cup of demons. You cannot participate at the table of the Lord and at the table of demons.” Pretty straightforward.

If you are tripped up and have become confused on how to deal with what’s happening in your life, you can deal with it, even if it is tough. God has promised His help to go beyond the endurance to the light of His grace.

1 Corinthians 10:13 GW

[13] There isn't any temptation that you have experienced which is unusual for humans. God, who faithfully keeps his promises, will not allow you to be tempted beyond your power to resist. But when you are tempted, he will also give you the ability to endure the temptation as your way of escape.
