When you place your feet on the floor in the mornings, are you feeling unstoppable or are you feeling flawed and unusable? How you start your day can determine how the rest of your day goes.

Today’s devotion is meant to be an encouragement to you. Regardless of what is happening in your life and body, you can be determined to make your day a good day and be happy in Jesus.

Even if you feel as if you have been rejected, God can take that and help you feel accepted. Even if you feel tested in all areas of your life, God can change that test into a testimony.

Today is a new day. What happened yesterday is past. You have a clean slate to do with it however you choose.

As you realize this truth, also be aware that if you choose joy, you will not only be happier; you will be a joy for others to be around. When others love to be around you, you will never want for friendship. But with this realization, know that many people are self-absorbed, and you may have to be the one to reach out to them. But when you do, they will be happy to spend time with you.

Start today and let it be THE day your life is happier. Don’t depend on anyone else but you and Jesus for your joy. You have a clean slate to write your own story of love, kindness and peace. Those flaws are barely visible when covered in the love of Jesus.

Psalm 118:24 NLT

[24] This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
