The Wonderful World of Peace

It seems as though someone or something is always out to steal your peace. Don’t let your peace drown in the waves of someone else’s storm. We all have the opportunity given by Jesus to have that “peace that passes all understanding.” (even in the midst of a storm). In today’s scripture (in the NLT), He actually refers to peace as a gift. It comes from Him. It’s precious and is something the world cannot give.

Peace is so important in your world and family. In Ps 34:14 it even says to seek it and pursue it. Why would you allow someone to come into your “wonderful world of peace” and rain negatively on it? There is a fine line between helping someone (which we all should do) and getting caught up in the drama of their life.

The best thing you can do for those that seem to always be in the middle of crazy stuff is to encourage them to do the first part of Ps 34:14 where it says to “depart from evil and do good.” There is no peace when you have sinful things going on in your life. Be kind and helpful, but wise when you’re dealing with this type of individual.

I pray that you have peace in your life. It is something we all need more of every day. Seek it and cherish it.

John 14:27 NLT

[27] "I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.
