Something Within Me

This is the title to a song done by gospel quartets and even the group Take 6 that is a testament to what you have inside of you when you know Jesus. You don’t have to understand it all; you just recognize this power within you is available to draw upon in all situations. Here is the refrain:

“Something within me that holdeth the reins,

Something within me that banishes pain.

Something within me I cannot explain,

All that I know there is something within."

What is so cool about what you have is the love that flows out of you. Not because you do everything right, but because you have allowed the light of Jesus to shine through you, there is something that others notice different about you. It is that love for others.

When you live in the light of Jesus’ love, that something within you will want the best for others. That something can change attitudes and change your world.

As you nourish what God has placed within you…your belief in Him and you will grow.
