The words to a song by Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions, I used to hear years ago…

“People get ready

There's a train a-coming

You don't need no baggage

You just get on board

All you need is faith

To hear the diesels humming

Don't need no ticket

You just thank the Lord”

It was actually used as a protest song back in the day but also carries a strong message for us in this day and time to always be ready for that day when Jesus comes. We don’t know or need to know actual dates and times; we just need to stay faithful to Him in all things.

We still go about doing and living life, but with that difference of being ready for anything. It is a rough time when things arise in your life that you are not prepared for. That is why being in a position of downtrodden and hopelessness doesn’t serve you well. You are taken by surprise by the least little thing, and it throws you off kilter.

In Noah’s day, the people were warned about the coming flood but paid no attention. It wasn’t that they were going on with their lives, it was that they were doing it with no thought about what was about to happen. They just didn’t care and weren’t ready when the door closed on the ark. By then, it was too late.

My message to you today, “Stay Ready and Stay Faithful” for anything. The most important thing is knowing that you have a personal relationship with God through Jesus. If you are unsure of that, settle this today. Don’t let the “door closed on the ark” of your life and it’s too late to be a part of His family. Be ready to face the good and the bad of your life and have your ticket to be with Jesus when that time comes. Say this prayer out loud. Hear your voice and mean what you say.

“Lord Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for all my sins. I believe you came out of the grave. I ask right now for you to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior to guide me all the days of my life. I put my faith and trust in You. My desire is to live for you.” Amen.

I would love to know if you prayed and invited Jesus to be a part of your life. Gods' blessings on you and your family. We all need each other.

Matthew 24:38-39,42 NLT

[38] In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. [39] People didn't realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes. [42] "So you, too, must keep watch! For you don't know what day your Lord is coming. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
