One Thing at a Time

Many of you have the mindset that you must always be “multitasking”. To be honest, that is a farce anyway. There is no way to do more than one thing at a time and do it really well. Now you could get supper started in crockpot and do other things while supper is cooking, but very few things works this way.

We have so many “plates spinning” at a time, there is a good chance one of those plates will not make it. I found that true in my “outside the home” work. I would have to make a list of things and then check off as I completed. I could have several things going, but my attention had to focus on one of them to finish.

We are so much better off taking one thing at a time and seeing it to completion, instead of having a multitude of things going at once and never really get anything accomplished. How frustrating to be so busy and never see finished work of any sort.

Take a breath. Take a step. Then take another step. As you do, allow the Lord to direct your steps. Don’t take off running in so many directions that you only frustrate yourself.

Psalm 37:23 CEV

[23] If you do what the LORD wants, he will make certain each step you take is sure. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
