am down 45.2 today. Wow!! This time last year, I didn’t even have it in my sights to be where I am today. I knew I needed to lose some weight, but as long as I had clothes that were big enough to hide those “rolls”, I felt that I was “a-ok”. Wrong!!

Today I am showing you a couple of pictures that can’t be hid by baggy clothing. When it comes down to it, being unhealthy shows in many places on a person. Bobby will tell you, when I see someone and their coloring is off, I say I can tell their health is not in good shape. I can also tell when they are stressed to the max by looking at their eyes. So, it is not always weight that is the issue, but definitely plays a role. Too much weight, or not enough…either way, how healthy are you?

In these two photos, you see the same smile with a little less face and chin in one of them. The lighting is a little different, but overall, a pretty good depiction of too much weight and stress in one and what happens when someone changes their mindset and goes all-in to being the best they can be.

I wanted to be well on my way to losing 50 pounds by my birthday this year and by golly, I am. I’ll be 72 in a few more days and knew it was past time for a change. I have been “up and down” with my weight ever since having my children. I made the decision that I want to finish my life here living long and strong. Who’s with me on that? If this almost 72-year-old can go from an unhealthy weight to a healthier lifestyle, so can you.

1. Keep your mind set on trusting the Lord to strengthen you physically, spiritually and mentally

2. Be determined to defeat what you’ve been told for so long about failure and decide to succeed

3. Live in a place of grace for yourself and others

4. Live a life of health. It matters how you feel in your body.
