Look at Me

If the first thing you tend to do is “well up” with pride with every success in your life, let’s step back and take a look at that. I’m not saying that there should not be a good amount of satisfaction in a “job well done”. I’m just saying that you need to always remember it wasn’t an “all you” thing.

As we take our journey through our Christian life, we need to remember that we are not in it without Jesus. The Holy Spirit lives inside of us to give us the strength and grace we need. Once we (us and God) tackle a mountain and are successful, we need to be thankful for His presence and strength. Being prideful, as in “look what I’ve done”, just shows that you have put trust in yourself and not Him.

Let’s not be like the Israelites that were taken care of in every way yet continually turned their back on the One responsible for their provision. They even went as far as to serve other gods other than the one true God.

God is the One that gives each of us the power to be successful in life.

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 MSG

[17-18] If you start thinking to yourselves, "I did all this. And all by myself. I'm rich. It's all mine!"-well, think again. Remember that GOD, your God, gave you the strength to produce all this wealth so as to confirm the covenant that he promised to your ancestors-as it is today. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
