We should all make it our goal to live a quiet peaceful life. I realize there is not always quiet and there is not always peace. This doesn’t mean we fall into the chaos and the noise of the day. We continue to make our goal to live differently than what is happening around us.

Be sure to read verses 1-10 to see what was being said before verse 11. There are things in our lives that may need to be adjusted and, in most cases, totally revamped in order to reach that goal of quiet and peace.

When we reach the goal of being able to stay at peace even among chaos, we will draw the attention of others…even unbelievers. “Then people who are not believers will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others.”

Let’s all turn over a new leaf in life to live peacefully so that our lives are a witness to the goodness of God.

1 Thessalonians 4:11 NLT

[11] Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before.
