“You have 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason”. Have you ever heard someone say this? This is said to emphasize how important listening instead of speaking is. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t speak, but you should listen way more than you talk.

It is in the “talking and talking” that can cause the possibility of anger to flare up. As the scripture today says, “anger doesn’t make us good”. If you are talking more than listening, others may get tired of your company.

How well are you listening to the one across the table from you? Are you truly listening to hear what they have to say, or are you listening only to craft your response to them? I would say, “earn the right to speak” by listening to hear and learn.

James 1:19-20 TLB

[19] Dear brothers, don't ever forget that it is best to listen much, speak little, and not become angry; [20] for anger doesn't make us good, as God demands that we must be. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
