Limp or Leap

Your private battles can do a number on you. You can get so in your head that you feel as though it can never get better. Maybe you think you have leaped over a situation, and something will trigger you back into a “gimp in your step”. If you are going through the motions and your past sneaks up on you with a vengeance, you are not alone.

I love the scripture today. I started it in the middle of verse 13 where it says, “I focus on this one thing”. We all have to change our focus (what we dwell on or think about).

What are we to dwell on?

We are to forget the past and look ahead. Our future is to be so much better than our past. This can’t happen if we continue to limp around in the mistakes of our past. The word “past” should be a hint of where it should be. It should be in the “backwoods” not in the new life we now live.

Quit limping around limiting what you can be. Leap into your future with confidence and conviction that you have been forgiven.

Philippians 3:13b NLT
