Keep Planting the Good Stuff

I used to go to the Farmers Market a lot when we lived in Nashville. It was so cool to go from booth to booth and see the harvest from the local home farms. The looks on their faces were priceless as they showed off their latest harvest.

The things I didn’t see were even more important. I didn’t see when they planted them; what kind of soil it was planted in and the time it took from the planting to the reaping of produce from the garden. If they weren’t planted at the right time, they may have rushed the harvest, therefore the results would be very different crop. If they weren’t started out in good soil, the nutrients wouldn’t be there. Did they give the produce time to naturally ripen?

If we apply these same principles to our lives, we can get a better understanding of the time it takes to “reap what we sow”. If we rush a situation, we could see bad turn to worse. The thing to do is just keep planting the good stuff in people’s lives. You may not see a harvest right away, but you will. If you are being a blessing, allow God to water that and you will reap blessings.

Galatians 6:9-10 TPT

[9] And don't allow yourselves to be weary or disheartened in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you've planted is coming!
