Isn't She Lovely

“Isn't she lovely
Isn't she wonderful
Isn't she precious
Less than one minute old”
These are the words of a blind man who was the father of a precious newborn baby girl. This struck me as an amazing observation. Even though he couldn’t physically see her, he could still feel this through the eyes of love.
As women we get so caught up in having just the right outfit; just the right accessories; just the right makeup on (perfectly contoured) and just the right smile…we miss out on the genuineness of just being ourselves. We should be so genuinely good and kind that even a blind person would realize that our beauty is from within. They would be able to feel that they have been with a beautiful precious person because of the love that is exuding from within. They might even say, “isn’t she lovely”.
I came across this quote by someone that really sums it up today. “No amount of physical beauty will ever be as valuable as a beautiful heart.”
I pray that whoever is around me can sense how much I care for them, whether I am “dolled up” or look as if I just rolled out of bed. I love you all.
1 Peter 3:3-4 NLT
[3] Don't be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. [4] You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
