How Should You Handle This Thing?

What is “the thing” you are dealing with that keeps being a real challenge? It seems as though you have started over too many times to count and are ready to just give up on it. Don’t! You may be so close to being able to successfully complete it.
The verse today is showing what sticking to it can accomplish. Isaac’s “thing” was providing fresh water, and he was being challenged every step of the way. God had blessed him and Rebecca with so much abundance that those around him became very jealous. He was being “run outta Dodge” because of it.
Those that were against him would fill up his wells of fresh water with dirt, (or just cause a dispute) giving him no choice but to move to another place and another place (and so on) to dig again. He didn’t give in to his situation, he persevered and faced the roadblocks head on. He knew that God was blessing him and would continue to be on his side…providing for his family.
What if he had given up in verse 21? He wouldn’t have seen the success of verse 22. He was “one more well” away from that provision he needed.
I realize it is difficult to be patient in the hard things. But the reward can be amazing when you just move on to your next step (dig your next well). Be blessed today as you face the roadblocks head on. Find your Rehoboth (open space) and thrive.
Genesis 26:22 NLT
[22] Abandoning that one, Isaac moved on and dug another well. This time there was no dispute over it, so Isaac named the place Rehoboth (which means "open space"), for he said, "At last the LORD has created enough space for us to prosper in this land." #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
