How Deep is Your Love?

The Bee Gees had a song out years ago asking that question. Of course, it was about a relationship between a man and woman. But as I look at those lyrics, I see how we can relate that same question to our relationship with the Lord.
We are to have such a deep love for Him that it shows in all we do. The way we live, talk and react should reflect that we love the Lord with all of our heart, soul and strength.
Our children should be able to follow our example of “living right”. We should be teaching them in every scenario of their lives. We should be giving them the tools they need to live a successful life. If you are not living what you teach, they know and see the hypocrisy. These precious souls deserve to see this deep love you have for the Lord in their formative years as well as into their own adulthood. Believe me when I say, they are always aware of what you say and do.
In full transparency, I have not always been the best example. I have known both sides of this topic. Loving Him and living my life for Him right now is the only thing that matters. I want there to be no question in the minds of my children and their children that Mom/G-ma loves the Lord with her whole heart.
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 NLT
[5] And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. [6] And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. [7] Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
