His Prayer for Us

As you read today’s verses, realize this was what Jesus was praying for US!

He knew that this world was unaccepting of the truth He had shared. He knew that there would be times that we would feel that “jab” from those in this world. We were admonished that even though we live in this world, we were not to live like the world. We can face anything the world may throw our way. Even if we are mocked for what we believe, it’s still doesn’t make it any less true.

We have the assurance of the same love that God had for His Son can be ours. While Jesus was here, He taught His disciples and now we have the written Word to teach us all we need to know about how to live. Because we gave our lives to Him, He now lives in us via the Holy Spirit. We experience the same love from Father God.

It is assuring to know that while we are here, the evil one doesn’t have to mess us up. We have the power of the Holy Spirit within us to deflect and defend against any and all attacks.

John 17:15,23,26 NLT

[15] I'm not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. [23] I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. [26] I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so.
