He Loves You

Many years ago, I sang in a trio and did concerts for areas churches. The blessings we received when we shared with the community was wonderful. But the part that sticks with me the most was when our boys (they were such little guys then) would come up and lead the people in the final song. It was a sweet chorus…

“Oh, how He loves you and me,

Oh, how He loves you and me.

He gave his life, what more could he give?

Oh, how He loves you; Oh, how he loves me; Oh, how he loves you and me.”

It always hit the hearts of those there. Those simple words were good news to old and young alike. I know hearing these words coming from the “mouths of babes” added to the emotion, but as most were singing along with them, they were looking in their own lives and realizing how much God loved them. They were needing to really hear what they were singing.

It is important for us all to realize that God is not mad at us. He is not waiting for us to mess up so he can hit us with a big ‘ole stick. He loves us with an everlasting love.

We are precious to Him. Did you get that? We are precious to Him right now. You don’t have to be “whipped into shape” before He can love you. He just does. That’s who He is.

Start living your life in a way that is pleasing to Him. Not because you “have” to but because you know this pleases the One who loves you so much.
