Handling Your Anger

Lingering Anger can be such a detriment to your life. It gives the devil a place to do his “dirty work” of keeping you from doing the work you were called to do in a way that gets great results.
In Proverbs we are told that a “quick temper causes stupid mistakes”. Notice that it doesn’t say not to be angry. We all get aggravated from time to time. You just don’t want that anger to have a foothold in your life. Settle things before they get out of control.
Lingering anger can cause rifts between folks that start small to become gigantic. That is why in today’s verse we are encouraged to not even go to bed before the disagreements are settled.
We are given the spirit of patience. We just don’t exercise it enough when it comes to our temper, but we should. If you are “quick tempered”, get a handle on it before it handles you.
Ephesians 4:26-27 NLT
[26] And "don't sin by letting anger control you." Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, [27] for anger gives a foothold to the devil. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
