Hand It Over

There is only one person that you should ever hand your heart over to … and that is Jesus Christ. We tend to give power of our hearts and lives to people that have no business having it. There is a huge difference in those that love on you with a pure heart and those that use you. Don’t just hand your heart over to those that continually disappoint.
From the standpoint of being good and fair, only you (and God) know where you fit. As a person looking on the outside, we know from today’s verse that good things come from a good heart and evil from an evil heart. When we hear “excuses” instead of solutions, our tendency is to assume there is something flowing from that person that is (maybe not evil) but deceptive. Your heart is not theirs to smash.
We are to give our cares and worries (including disappointments) to Jesus because He (truly) cares for us. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart” … not other people (unless they have proven themselves to be trustworthy).
Luke 6:45 NLT
A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
