Grace is just that...Grace

Are you tired of trying to be good enough to be loved? I know a place (someone) where that is NOT a requirement. Thank goodness that my relationship with the good Lord has nothing to do with performance and all to do with believing and accepting.
What I mean by that is, we have for whatever reason, added to God's gift of His Son, “a stipulation”. God didn’t add it…we did. We have, for so long, tried to earn this gift. There is no “earning” to a gift.
The definition of a gift: “a thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present.” See how from that definition, there is no performance required or payment on your part to receive? It is a GIFT.
God doesn’t offer this gift to you, and then say, “clean up your act and it’s yours.” He loves you and has paid the price through the gift of Jesus and it is yours by believing it right where you are in your life. He died so you could live a life of freedom without being made to perform. You know that when you mess up (and we all do), His loving Grace is sufficient to get us back on the right track.
When you start believing this wonderful truth, and see how it can impact your life, I truly hope you stop trying to be “good enough”. You start allowing Gods goodness to flow through you.
Romans 11:6 KJV
[6] And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
