Faith in the Battle

Even if all the people who are close to you, who love you and have been a part of your life forever, decide to go against everything you believe and say, you are still not a “grasshopper”. You should never be someone that is cowering in the weeds, afraid to conquer the “giants” in your life.

Those “giants "could be the words meant to hurt and discourage you. “You’ll never amount to anything!” “You are always trying to be something you are not!” “You have always been a weak and pitiful human!” “Just go back under the rock you crawled out from under!”

Your “giant” might be the mistakes of your past that haunt you and keep you feeling small. It might be an illness that keeps you feeling sick and tired with no energy. It might be something you have been secretly dealing with for years.

You know what? None of this really matters. What matters is not how you “feel”, but what you “know”.

Your faith is what matters. As one of my favorite worship choruses states it:

“Bigger the battle greater my faith

There is no giant you cannot slay

You're stronger than 10,000 armies

Stronger than 10,000 armies”

Numbers 13:30-33 NLT

[30] But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. "Let's go at once to take the land," he said. "We can certainly conquer it!" [31] But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed. "We can't go up against them! They are stronger than we are!" [32] So they spread this bad report about the land among the Israelites: "The land we traveled through and explored will devour anyone who goes to live there. All the people we saw were huge. [33] We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. Next to them we felt like grasshoppers, and that's what they thought, too!" #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
