Even When You Don't Understand

Psalms 23 is such a comfort to those who need assurance that they are never alone. I encourage you to read all 6 verses of that Psalm today out loud. Really hear what your voice is saying. Then focus in on verse 4.
So many things happen in our lives we don’t completely understand. Some things we may never see a result until we get to heaven. Once we are there, the things of this earth will not concern us anymore. So, all the fretting over “understanding the why” of events is futile. Just continue to live your life loving God and other people. Take the actions that keep you in Gods will for your life.
We are all reeling over the assassination of a really good man yesterday. He was a believer and wasn’t shy about sharing his faith or his political views.
Charlie Kirk loved his God and his family. Someone followed the evil and dark nudging of the devil and carried out this atrocity.
Charlie’s family and friends who are left in the wake of this tragedy, are now walking through a dark valley. We should pray that they will feel the comfort of the Shepherd we read about in Psalm 23. Because of his faith they can rest assured he is with the One he loved and so passionately shared his faith.
God is always with you, even when you don’t understand what is going on around you.
Psalm 23:4 NLT
[4] Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
