Courage Without Fear

I have never been in a position of battle in the military sense. I can’t even imagine the amount of courage it requires to go into enemy territory, not knowing how much you will face or what you will witness.
Joshua was tasked with taking over after Moses died and was to lead the Israelites into the land that had been promised. Joshua had the strength and courage to carry this out because of the assurance from his supreme commander. God assured him that He would be with him and that NO ONE could stand against him. (Not even the “giants” that were seen in the land) He told him to have courage without fear.
Our battles have been on a more personal level. We face challenges in our lives that seem insurmountable at times. Our giants look too big and scary to tackle. Some of us have not yet grasped the promise that the Lord is with us wherever we go.
We really can face anything with courage without fear. When you are “discouraged” begin to realize that you are living opposite of the “courage” that is available. Stop those tracks of fear and start walking in confidence knowing God is there with every step you take.
Joshua 1:9 NLT
[9] This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
