Clear Conscience

Sometimes our hearts deceive us; causing us to believe we are not worthy of God’s love or the love of anyone else. I think that happens because we feel guilty for some actions in our past. It is time to clear our conscience of past mistakes and just simply follow Jesus. Let’s take a peek into Paul’s life…
Paul could have wallowed around in those kinds of feelings. Look at how he treated Christians in his past. He had not been a good man. He had purposely tortured them and had them killed.
A change took place in his life when he met the Lord on the road to Damascus. He became a “changed man”. He was now a man that told others about having faith in Jesus and following him.
While in prison he wrote to Timothy and made the statement that he served God with a clear conscience. What? After all he had done in his past? Yes!
Because of the love of the Father, he had changed into a man who trusted God in all circumstances. He followed that leadership of believing in Jesus and loving others. He showed that love in how he spoke to Timothy in today’s scripture.
2 Timothy 1:3 NLT
[3] Timothy, I thank God for you-the God I serve with a clear conscience, just as my ancestors did. Night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
