It’s good to be around someone that knows how to “get their praise on” no matter what the circumstance. Those folks know and understand that no matter what, God is still there and is “worthy to be praised”!

I’m not saying you need to break out in song every time something happens, but it wouldn’t hurt anything either. Look at how the turn of events changed when Paul and Silas did just that in prison. They were singing and praying when their circumstances changed, as well as the circumstance of those that were with them.

I remember when we were at my sister’s funeral and the song, “What a Day That Will Be” began. We all started to sing along. In the midst of the “chain” of grief, the entire place was singing and praising God for the assurance of seeing Linda again, because we knew we hadn’t really lost her. We knew exactly where she was and would see her again someday.

Be a chain breaker in your life. Don’t allow the things of this world to hold you back. Learn to praise God in all things, either in song or in what you say.

Acts 16:25-26 NLT

[25] Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. [26] Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!
