Anger Can Be Dangerous

We don’t usually associate anger with danger. But think about it for a second. How many times have you heard of angry quarrels getting out of hand to the point where someone pulls out a weapon? When that happens, it is logical to think that these individuals allowed the devil to come in and destroy lives. This should never be. We should all develop coping skills and anger management.

When you became a born-again believer, you received a new nature. Quit putting it on the shelf and being “loosey-goosey” with your relationships. Put that Godlike nature on every single day like you would put on a jacket when it is cool out.

If anger does show its ugly head in your life, don’t allow it to control you and your actions. Do whatever it takes to smooth things over before the sun sets. Sunsets can be such a beautiful sight but can be spoiled for you if you are harboring a mean spirit of anger.

Never let these words come out of your mouth, “I’m gonna stay mad, regardless of how it makes someone feel”! That right there is giving the devil what he wants, and it is a dangerous spot to be in.

Ephesians 4:24,26-27 NLT

[24] Put on your new nature, created to be like God-truly righteous and holy. [26] And "don't sin by letting anger control you." Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, [27] for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
