An Open Book

Being transparent, with nothing to hide is a way to describe someone whose life is an open book. Not too many of us are that open and honest about who we are.

Most times we will say, “It’s nobody’s business who I am or what I’ve done!” And really, that is a true statement for the most part. But if your actions have hurt someone else, then being open and honest can be the starting point in healing that relationship.

Forgiveness can find its way into those situations when we admit (confess) our part in the disagreement. If we continue to avoid facing up to our wrongdoing, it is just going to exasperate everyone involved.

Today’s verse goes so far as to say that “people who conceal their sins will not prosper!” So, the best way to get ahead in this life is to confess those thoughts, words and deeds and receive mercy from God.

Proverbs 28:13 NLT

[13] People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
