A song that many of us were taught as kids wasn’t just a kid’s song. It is something to remember as adults about the Lord's protection. We all have angels sent to protect us. They go to work for us at His and our command. Our words of faith given to us in scripture are the catalyst to our protection.

Here is the chorus and first verse…

“All night, all day,

angels watching over me, my Lord.

All night, all day,

angels watching over me.

Now I lay me down to sleep.

Angels watching over me, my Lord.

Pray the Lord my soul to keep.

Angels watching over me.”

Notice there is that “if” word in verse 9. “If you make the Lord your refuge” (your shelter…your protection from danger). Also, in verse 14 the LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.

There is no magical force that you have to call forth. It is simple faith and believing what the Lord says is true for you. It is not only true for those spiritual giants we read about in scripture. It is a personal belief of protection.

Read and reread Psalm 91 and let those words give you assurance that the Lord (and your angels) are watching over you all night and all day.

Psalm 91:9-11 NLT

[9] If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, [10] no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. [11] For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.
