All I Need

A movie from 1979, “The Jerk”, the guy who is down and out and losing everything important in his life says, “The ashtray, this paddle game, and the remote control, and the lamp, and that's all I need.” But then he added some other things as he walks out the door from his once happy home. So it is with our lives. We think, if we could just have this “one more thing” life would be good. How misguided we have become in this world where most are never satisfied.
The trouble is we are looking for “love” and “things” in all the wrong places. True love and happiness come from a source that has more than the temporary material things of this world. It is, as some refer to it as, “other worldly”.
God is our source for everything we need in our lives. When you truly know Him and His will for your life, you know without a doubt how much He loves you. You know He wants nothing but good for you. How many in your circle of friends and family can you say, want the very best for you? Can you depend on them to always be there? If your answer is “yes”, then praise the Lord. If your answer is “no”, here’s some good news. God cares and has proven it time and again when/if we open our eyes to His promises.
Remember our childhood prayer and apply it to more than food. Replace the word food with “everything”.
God is great, God is good. Let us thank him for our “food”. “God is great, God is good. Let us thank Him for EVERYTHING”.
He has given us EVERYTHING we need.
“All I need” for all I have need of.
2 Peter 1:3 TPT
[3] Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. #paulaandthebible #helpforyourdailywalk
