All Circumstances

Do you ever wonder, “Is this something I should pray about?” Probably not. More than likely you realize there is always something to pray about either for you or for other people. That is why we are admonished to “pray without ceasing”.
We need to stay in the attitude of prayer all the time. We don’t need to walk around with our head bowed and eyes closed in the way we normally think of prayer, (that would be dangerous LOL). We keep our conversation with Jesus going as we go about our day.
When Jesus was about to face the most important and difficult time of His life He wanted the disciples to “watch and pray” with Him. When He asked that of them, it wasn’t just because of what He was facing.
When Jesus went to pray and came back to find the disciples asleep, we often see it depicted in movies and pageants as Jesus being angry with them. But I think we should see it differently. He already knew how hard what they were about to witness was going to be on them. They were going to be tempted and weak in a time that they needed to be strong. He knew that their hearts were in the right place, but the seriousness of this situation was going to be so severe…strength was needed
This time of prayer was for Him…yes, but it was for them too and for what they were up against.
Just like the disciples, Jesus knows our hearts. He knows our strengths and weaknesses in all circumstances. Stay in communication with Him…stay grounded in prayer.
Matthew 26:41 NLT
[41] Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!"
